Brolin and Kambua Celebrate the National Team
When Sweden’s Marcus Berg scored the decisive second goal against Russia, the eruption of joy on the charter boat M/S Molly knew no limits. “I was the only one who predicted a 2-0 win for Sweden and that Berg would score,” laughed Tomas Brolin. “There is a reason I am a sports ambassador!”
On Tuesday 21 November, around 25 guests were invited to a private function- “A Football Night with Kambua” onboard the M/S Molly. The night began with Tomas Brolin pre-analysing the Nations League game between Sweden and Russia. He talked tactics and the type of game Sweden had to play if they were to win. Tomas also talked to the guests about his own football career, sharing many stories before inviting the guests to ask any questions they would like!
The guests did not disappoint, “Who is the best player you’ve played with?”, “That free kick against Romania, was it rehearsed?”, “How did you feel when you paraded through Ralambshov Park after the World Cup in 1994? These were just a few of the questions that Brolin answered on a night when Football was the centre of attention.
Prior to kick-off, guests were encouraged to tip who they thought would win the big game and who the scorers might be. After a convincing Swedish performance, resulting in 2-0 home victory, it was found that Kambua sports ambassador, Tomas Brolin had predicted not only the correct scoreline, but also that Marcus Berg would get his name on the scoresheet. It would seem that nobody had listened to Brolin’s pre-match predictions because no one else predicted the result like he did. “Its me, I’m the Kambua software” he joked.
Also attending the event was Kambua sports ambassador and keen football fan J.O Waldner. “What a very happy evening. This is how to experience sports-good company, good food and world-famous Tomas Brolin. It cannot get any better!”
Kambua Open a success
This year, the 2018 Kambua Open was held at the Vidbynäs golf club, just south of Stockholm and proved to be a great success.
The mood among the 100 invited guests, including clients, corporate ambassadors, partners and other stakeholders, was as warm and cheerful as the sunshine that bathed the Vidbynäs golf club, and carried over to the dinner that concluded the event.
“I’m very proud of this event and of the appreciation expressed by all the participants,” said Stefan Sandström, CEO of Kambua International.
Among the many happy guests were Kambua’s new sports ambassadors, Tomas Brolin, J.O. Waldner and Frank Andersson, together with representatives from many of Kambua’s partners – ice hockey club Kalmar HC, bandy club Söderhamn/Broberg Bandy, Audi and Certificatum.
Aurae, which manages Kambua International’s Lifestyle Club and issues Kambua’s clients with credit cards, also flew in their Chief Marketing Officer and former vice president of US banking corporation Citibank, Terrence Thomas. Last but certainly not least, Kambua’s many clients were also on hand to enjoy the day.
The host for the event was none other than well-known Swedish comedian and public speaker Jan Bylund.
“It’s great to be able to give our closest friends the chance to socialise and get to know each other, especially at a wonderful event like this. It was a great success,” Sandström concluded.
